INTERNAIONAL HARVESTER CO., LTD.

TRUCK AND TRACTOR DISPLAY

An exhibit which is attracting numerous visitors to the Show is that of the Hamilton Hardware Co., Ltd., agents for the International Harvester Company of New Zealand, Ltd., who have on'exhibit aii International truck, a McCormick fleering tractor, and a complete range of farm implements of the same manufacture. These vehicles have the distinction of being the only motor vehicles sold in the Dominion by the manufacturers. This remark also naturally applies to the spare parts, which the company, once a machine is sold, guarantees to supply for that particular type of machine, for a period of 20 years. This guarantee is made for the reason that the company do not make a practice of '• scrapping." In fact, spare parts arc available to-day for machines sold to customers some 35 years ago. The company's " step out " service is second to none, and this fact is known throughout all the corners of the globe. As to the machines themselves the International trucks and McCormick Deering tractors, which have proved themselves lo be the best truck and tractor for every-day use. are sound in construction and are economical to run. One feature of these machines (including the heavy duty type of truck! is that the cylinder (and cylinders make practically a new engine) can be replaced with perfect case and at a very small cost. The 30-h.p. tractor (and when we state 30-li.p. it must be stressed that 20 is delivered at the pulley and 10 at the draw bar; is made to pull a threefurrow tractor plough, which under normal conditions would plough up nine acres in approximately eight hours. The efficiency of a tractor depends largely on its bearings. These tractors have an unusually large number of high-grade ball and roller bearings, which are guaranteed for the life of the machines irrespective of its age. Visitors to the Show should note that the Hamilton Hardware Company, who also trade in vehicles, arc demonstrating these machines at their exhibit which is in close proximity to the butter and cheese section. Demonstrations on the properties of those interested can also be arranged, and anyone in need of a truck or tractor should not decide on any make before inspecting these high-class machines. Whether it lie a new or second-hand machine that is required terms can be arranged with the Hamilton Hardware Co Ltd., whose offices are situated in Ward Street. 120
