PERSONAL.

Mr F. F. Hockly, M.P. for Rotorua-. is at present in Hamilton. It is expected tha't the Prime Minister, who is in Hamilton, will return to Wellington on June 7. Mr T. H. Patterson, of the Department of Agriculture, is in Hamilton. Mr. W. H. Worsley, formerly of Hamilton, but now of Auckland, is revisiting the town.

Admiral Sir Wilmot Fawkes, who was Commander-in-Chief of the Australian station, 1905-S, is dead.

Mr A. M. Samuels, M.P. for Ohinemuri, is a visitor to Hamilton, and is at the Hamilton Hotel. Mr and Mrs J. M. tie Montalk have returned to Frankton after spending a holiday in the Nelson district. The death is announced from London of Mr Philip Lyttelton Gell, formerly president of 'lie British South Africa Company, aged 74.

Mr Humberto Bidonc, ConsulGeneral of the Argentine Republic, is visiting Hamilton. Dr. G. 11. Scholefleld, who will leave Masterton shortly to take up his duties as Chief Parliamentary Librarian, was farewelled by members of the Wairarapa Secondary Education Beard. Appreciative reference was made to Dr. Scholefleld's work as a member of the board, and a resolution was passed, recording the able and cnthusiaslio work he had done for that body.
