TE AROHA ORPHANS.
ANNUAL MEETING. Tlio annual meeting of Ihe Te Aroha Orphans' Club was held on Friday evening there being a large number id members.
The report showed that ll'.c club had mi financial members, six country members, I 2 associates and one life member. During the year nine new members we're admitted and 25 removed from Ihe register for various reasons. The balance sheet showed a credit or 'J I 12s 2d, and a surplus of assets over liabilities of £lßl lis 2d, The session proved most successful. Fraternal \isils were exchanged between Mnrrinsviile, Malamata, i'acroa, and Te Awamulu orphans' Clubs. On Ihe \isil lo Paccori a gavel was presented lo commemorate their inauguration lo Orpliandont. The Te Aroha club also entertained local bodies. A scries of concerts was held lo assisl the Agricultural and Pastoral Association, a sum of £lOl 'Js lOd being raised.
The following officers were elected :—President, Bro. A. 11. .Margison; vice-presidents, Bro. C. II . Nieholl, Dr. \Y. li. Lawrence and C. Andrew; lion, secretary, llro. 11. Fitzpalri.de, .Martin, .1. Colon and C. Cornish: lion, auditor, Bro, C. Hilebrisl.
The opening night will be held on May |O.
