It is expected that the massed choir will comprise over .'JUO children. Al, present Mr Slater is taking the schools individually, but arrangements have been made for a combined schools choir practice al the Opera House. Head teachers arc invited lo co-operate Willi Mr Slater and ensure if possible a full attendance from all the. schools. The effect of such a large choir should he very fine, and it will be Hie first lime in Ihe history of Wanganui that such an attempt lias been made to mass Ihe school choirs on a concert platform. The programme being arranged for [ho concert is a very Hue one, and in addition lo Ihe combined choirs numbers, a couple of physical drill items are to be given, and quite a varied programme of character songs, recitations, etc.

It is hoped thai, Mr Taylor, the new Director of Music for New Zealand, will be present.
