Charges of negligence were becoming so common that one. could not help thinking that the whole mailer demanded firm consideration. The fault did not always lie with the motorists, hul, on the oilier hand, the most damage was done by molorisls who would not exercise care in driving, such as when passing stationary trams cutting corners, being drunk in charge of cars, and speeding lime' after time. One witnessed furious driving on roads, and lo destroy human life by carelessness was a very grave matter. The law was apparently sufficiently strong lo stop that sort of thing, and it would do so.
