LAWN TENNIS.

ROTO-O-RANGI v MAUNGATAUTARI

Tennis players in ibis district are as enthusiastic as ever, and by all appearances tennis will die hard Ibis season. Last Saturday great interest was taken ill a malcli played on the Maungalaulari courts, between Maungatautari and Rolo-o-rangi. The ladies or the home team were far 100 strong for ihe visitors, winning all the ladies' singles and doubles. This was not Ihe case with Ihe men, Ihe visitors being superior. Splendid tennis was witnessed and some most exciting games were played. The match was a thoroughly enjoyable one and proved a close contest, Roto-o-rangi wining by 13 sels to 11.
