PRISONER RECAPTURED.
A DESPERATE STRUGGLE. (United Press Association.) (Received March 19, 11.15 a.m.) ■ BRISBANE. March 18. ' After a sensational struggle one oC the prisoners who escaped from thai Townsvillc Gaol was recaptured at. Melbourne. Two . notorious criminals escaped: from Stewart's Creek Gaol at Townsvillc last month. The escape was accomplished by the men cutting through tlie iron bars of the cell windows witli a small hack-saw and then lowering themselves lo the ground by. means of a rope which tliey had made, from their blankets.
