Mr A. M. Samuel, M.P. for Ohinemuri, was in Hamilton to-day. Mr.T. W. Rhodes, M.P, for Thames, is in town. * Mr Wynyard, chairman of the Main Highways Board, is in Hamilton. Mr .T. C. Rolleston, M.P. for Wailomo, is in Hamilton. Mr King, chairman of the Tauranga County Council, is in Hamilton. Mr W. F. Johnstone, chairman of the Ohinemuri County Council, was in town to-day. Mr O. N. Campbell, Chief Drainage Engineer, of Auckland, was here today. Mr Wm. Perry, of Mastcrton, the President of the Royal Show, was in Hamilton to-day. Messrs A. Harris and E. D. McLennan, M.'s P. for Waitcmata and Franklin respectively, arc in Hamilton. Mr F. F. Hockley, M.P. for Rotorua, and Mr W. J. Jordan, M.P. for Manukau, arc in Hamilton. Mr L. B. Campbell, District Public Works Engineer at Auckland, is in Hamilton. Mr G. P. Newton, Assistant-Under-Scurctary of Internal Affairs in charge of local government matters, is in Hamilton. Dr. A. H. Tovey, of Tauranga, has accepted a Government appointment as a medical officer at Samoa and leaves Auckland for Apia on March 27. Mr A. Bennett, late Inspector of Health to the South Auckland District, who is now stationed at Wellington, is rc-visiting llamilloo. The \'cw South Wales State Attor-ney-General, Mr E. A. McTicrnan, has sailed for Loudon in connection with the Legislative Council impasse. Mr Stewart, of Kcmpthorne Prosser and Company, Eld., was in Hamilton I, -dav and was a member of the party making a lour of the Woodlands swamp areas.
Messrs 11. A. Wilson, Hi A. Hallelt and C. W. Drubc of Hamilton left Tuesday night by the limited for Dunedin and Milford Track. Mr R. J. Hamilton, of Palmerston North, who was appointed Superintendent of Education in Nine, sailed from Auckland last Monday to take up his new duties. Since the beginning or the year Mr Hamilton has been attached to the Hamilton Technical School for instructional purposes. Mr and Mrs J. Wyndham Hopkins, Hamilton, and their two daughters, arrived from the Continent last week (writes a London correspondent under dale February P). They will leave for South Africa on February 25. They will spend some months visiting all the larger centres of the Union, and will also stay in Rhodesia for some weeks. afterwards proceeding to New Zealand, which lliey should reach towards the end of the year.
