MATAMATA CLUB. The committee of the Matamata Golf Club met on Monday, Mr G. D. Rollett presiding. It was agreed that Mr Watt’s services as professional coach be obtained for members for one week or mere. The important question of the incorporation of the club was discussed, and it was finally decided that the same be : carried through by Messrs Stanley and Buchanan. It was reported that the new 18-hole-course, as laid down by Mr Gillies (Hamilton), had been approved of. It is considered that the links will be equal to any in New Zealand outside the inelropolitan areas. If possible play will start on April 17, and every effort is being made ( by working bees, etc., to attain this end. To aid the finances a garden party is to be held shortly at Mrs Ring's residence, Hinuera. The convenience of the new links, which are situated on the racecourse, will be greatly appreciated by the members, and there is a metalled road to the gate and the course is within walking distance of the town. i
