HAMILTON TEAMS ENGAGED. VICTORY OVER TARANAKI. At the Hamilton Club’s green to-day a four-rink unoillciaL contest was played between Taranaki representatives and selections from clubs in Hamilton,, the home bowlers being successful on the aggregate by 87 points to G 5. The following are the scores, Taranaki placers being mentioned first; — Boulton, McPhillipis, Abbott, and Smart (skip) 7 v. Mitchell, Lymburn, Coombes and Bell (ski(p) 2G. Cook, J. Johnson, 'Christie, and Lobh (skip) 10 v. Meredith, Jones, Mclntyre and Pilkington (skip) 27. Surrey, Horton, G. Aden and Billing, (skip) 22 v. Harvey, Crrovshaw, Jackson and Anderson (skip) 10. Christoffel, Hill, B. Johnson, and Petty (skip) 26 v. Michel!, Wycherley, Land, and Iliggott (skip) 18. At (he conclusion of Hie contest the visitors presented a “cup” to the koepI ing of Mr Meredith, and expressed the hope that the defenders would soon j ravel to Taranaki in defence of the '“title.” MORRINSVILLE V. CAMBRIDGE. On Saturday last nil inter-club match was played between the Morrinsvilic and Cambridge clubs on the Cambridge greens. The visitors brought over seven senior teams and a first-year team. On the whole the games were fairly evenly contested, and on the aggregate the local players were the winners by a margin of 2 5 points, the totals being Cambridge 149, Morrinsville 124. In the first-year match lhe visiting rink won by three poinls, after a really good game. Tile president of lhe Cambridge Club, Mr T. F. Richards, extended a hearty, welcome to the visitors, and Mr Moncrier, Hie Morrinsville president, replied on behalf of his club.
