A NORTHERN TOUR. The Hon. J. A. Young, Minister of Health, will leave Wellington for the North to-morrow. At Drury on Wednesday he will view the site of a projected new mental hospital which will serve the Auckland district by taking the overflow from the Avondale Mental Hospital. On the same dav the Minister will visit the Knox Homo for Incurables at Epsom. That evening he will go to Hamilton and on Thursday morning. with South Auckland members of Parliament, lie will confer with lite South Auckland Rural Counties' Association, a body that includes counties in the heart of the island from coast, to coast, and which has its headquarters at Taumarunui. Later on Thursday Mr Young will attend a gathering at the Waikato Swamp Development League at the Gordonton swamp area, 12 miles south of Harciltcn. On Thursday evening his admirers at Hamilton will tender hira a public banquet, at the Town Hall. He will return to Wellington on Friday. . COMPLIMENTARY BANQUET. The complimentary banquet which will be tendered to the Hon. J. A. Young, Minister of Health, at Hamilton, on Thursday evening, to mark (lie accession of Ihe member for the dis- , trict to Ihe Ministry, promises to bo largely attended. There will be at least two Ministers of Ihe Crown present, while members or Parliament and the representatives of local bodies have signified their acceptance of Ihe invitation. The public are cordially invited to Ihe banquet, which will commence at the Hamilton Town Hall at 0.1") p.m. Tickets can be purchased from .Mr Stevens, bookseller, Victoria Street, and from the honorary secretary, Mi- .1.
