DEATH OF A MAORI.
CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) TAIHAPE, Saturday. William Martin Collins was arrested lo- day and charged with manslaughter arising out of the death of a Maori, Paei-e PUrit, who was found unconscious on the road and died later in the hospital, it is alleged that deceased was knocked down by a horse ridden by accused. Collins appeared before Justices this morning, and was remanded to appear before the magistrate on March. 22. Bail was allowed in two sureties of £IOO and self £IOO.
