LONDON, January 29. v A Budapest message states -thatth* foreign bank notes affair continues tq be the subject of inquiry by a Parliamentary Committee, and a police inquiry is demanded. French authorities are also pursuing the matter, 'the" French Police Commissioner, Fouled, repeatedly urging the re-examination of Windisgraez and Nadosy to clear up alleged discrepancies in their evidence, M. Foulcet also declared that it must be ascertained where the paper used to manufacture the forged notes was procured, and where the machinery used in the process has been hidden. The French authorities ore of opinion that it will yet be found in Hungary. The Premier, Count Bethlen, in a speech in regard to the affair, declared that if the Cabinet 'found it had made mistakes members would resign. .They were determined to clear up the affair. The Government had nothing to hide, Tite attacks from abroad originated from some despicable Hungarians, who knew their only chance of success was to plunge honest labourers in the mire.
