An appeal for 430 new men and women missionaries was made at the final sitting of the convention o.f the Missionary Council of the Church As : sembly. , „ - Rev Jenks, assistant secretary of the Missionary Council, said Africa needed 120 men and SO women, India 71, mostly men, and China 6S men and 48 women, for work in the existing missions and institutions.
