SLIGHT SHRINKAGE OF OUTPUT,
Despite the unfavourable season, j the output of the New Zealand Co- ! operative Dairy Comnany, Limited, of dairy produce to thj end of December 'was very satisfactory, and the recent heavy rains are expected to help to maintain the production, which otherwise showed signs of a rapid decrease. From June to December, 1925, inclusive, the company manufactured 12,[")1C tons of butter, showing a shrinkage of 1.31 .per cent, as compared with the same period of the previous year. The Dominion figures for the five months ended December 31 show that 32.782 tons of butter were made, being a decrease of 12.7 per cent, as compared with the same period of the previous season. From June to December, 1925, inclusive, the company manufa itured 1979 tons of cheese, as compared witli ISBI tons for the same period of the previous year, being an increase or 4.81 per cent. The Dominion figures for the five months ended December 31 show that 33,473 tons of cheese werj manufactured as compared with 31,000 tons for the previous season, an increase of 5.9 per cent, on a butter-fat basis. The company's .production Io- December 31 shows a decrease, of .02 pe- cent. The Dominion decrease for the five months ended December 31. is 7.5 per cent. The company's advance pay-out for the supply of produce for December was is'3d per lb butter-fat for superfine butter, and is ad per 11) butterfat for superfine cheese.
