EDUCATION IN CAMBRIDGE
REQUSTS TO DIRECTOR.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)
CAMBRIDGE, Thursday-
Advantage was taken of the visit of Mr Caughley, Director of Education, to bring before him the urgent need of further accommodation at the local district high school; also to urge the claims of Cambridge for a junior high school.
Concerning additional accommodation, Mr Caughley promised to send the chief Government Departmental architect to inspect and make a report. Regarding a junior high school, Mr Caughley said he was convinced Cambridge was a suitable locality for Hie successful carrying out of the junior higli school system. The whole matter was receiving careful consideration, and, in all probability, when a move was made, a batch of five schools would be established, and he thought it extremely likely that Cambridge would be.included. -;-./.
