RETAINED BY WHITIORA
At the Whiliora green yesterday afternoon Andrews, Hair, Hood and Higgolt (s), (Whitiora) the holders of the Smith-Clarke shield successfully defended the honour against Hansen, Adams, Anchor, L. Jackson (s) (Franklon). Whiliora were well on their game and being up throughout won by 32—9. Hamilton East lias the next challenge in and will (probably be represented by W. Chapman, W. Norrell, J. Prlckett, A. Salter, the game is being played to-morrow afternoon.
