WESTFIELD MARKETS. •DaJgetv and Co., Ltd., report as follows on the Westfield sale:—Beef: An exceptionally heavy yarding. Prices were again easier, all round, cows suffering the most. Extra choice ox made 41s, choice and prime 36s to 395, ordinary and plain 30s to 355, prime young cow and heifer beef 355, ordinary 28s to ;335, rough 22s to 275. Sheep: A good yarding, last week’s prices not being maintained. 1 Extra heavy woolly wethers, only one pen yarded, made 455, heavy prime 42s 6d, best shorn wethers 365, medium 345, best woolly ewes 38s to 395, best shorn 31s 6d, others 23s to 275. Calves: An average yarding, selling readily at. advanced prices. Runners made £4 9s to £5 ss, heavy vealers £3 5s to £4, medium £2 17s to £3 3s, light £2 io £2 9s, small 15s In 28s, fresh dropped 3s to 7s. Pigs: An average yarding, prices being easier. Choppers made £3 J 5s to £5 ss, heavy to medium baconers £4 7s to £5 Is, light baconers and heavy porkers £ 1 ‘2s to £4 6s medium and light porkers £2 18s to £3 7s. Lambs: A good yarding, prices again being easier. Heavy prime lambs made 325, medium 27s to 31s, light 20s to 255.

Alfred Buekland and Sons, Ltd., report:—At eur weekly Westfield fat stock market our beef pens contained 725 head, as against 507 last week, comprising 407 steers, 306 cows and heifers, and 12 bulls. The demand was less keen, and all classes were lower in value. In many cases there was a decline of 4s to 5s per 1001 b. Extra choice ox sold to 41s per 100, choice and prime ox 36s to 40s, ordinary and plain ox, 32s to 355; prime young cow and heifer beef 35s to 40s, ordinary cow beef 30s to 345, rough beef 20s to 265. Extra heavy prime steers ranged in price from £l7 to £l7 17s 6d, heavy prime steers £ls ■los to £l6 17s 6d, lighter prime steers £l4 to £ls 7s 6d, light prime steers £ll to £l3 15s, unfinished and small £7 10s to £lO 15s, extra heavy prime young cows and heifers £ll to £l3 ss, heavy prime young cows and heifers £9 10s to £lO 15s, lighter £7 to £9 ss, other killable cows £4 10s to £6 15s, rough and old cows £2 10s to £4 ss, bulls £5 to £lO ss. 14 choice quality steers from Mr 11. E. Reid, Waerenga, averaged £l6 16s 3d; 32 from Mr Wm. Vosper, Dingley Dell, Cambridge, averaged £l6 os Bd. There was again a full entry of sheep which met with a steady sale throughout, but generally values were' easier. Extra heavy prime wethers made 38s Cd io 40s, the latter price for a pen of extra prime Shropshire wethers from Mr Thomas Coates, Orakci; heavy prime wethers 36s 6d to 38s 3d, lighter prime wethers 34s to 36s 3d, light fat. and unfinished wethers 30s, to 33s 9d, heavy prime younff ewes 30s to 33s Gd, heavy fat ewes 27s Gd to 29s 9d, other fat ewes 25s to 27s (1561 sheep penned).
