•1 m vms&e m K ■k? W£3 TTL To be sure you can. Well, then, the v truth shows through the following facts clearly. Note these points: I.—National Prohibition became effec- , tive in the U.S.A. in January, 1920. f 2.—The Volstead Law that makes the A ISth (or Prohibition) Amendment V , effective can be modified or re- |A| pealed any time by a simple major- V ity in Congress. j,; 3.-~Since 1920 the people have elected two new Congresses, i.e., in 1922 and in 1924. W a ah the time the liquor interests have been telling the people what a tenible thing Prohibition was-just like the liquor mterests here do. 5.-But in spite of that the people send up to Congress more and more " dry " members. 6.—ln 1924 16 avowed "wets" lost their seats, and not a single " dry " lost his. 7 —Congress now consists of 435 representatives, of whom 319 are known " drys," 105 known " wets," and 11 doubtful. Senate has 96 members of whom 72 are " dry." Congress is 75% dry. WOULD THAT HAPPEN IF ONE-TENTH OF WHAT THE LIQUOR TRAFFIC SAYS ABOUT THE U.S.A. WERE TRUE? The people of the U.S.A. are satisfied with their Prohibition law. We shall be satisfied with ours when we vote it—and we will make it a big success.
