KNOCKED DOWN BY LORRY.

ACCIDENT IN VICTORIA STREET.

While leaning against the kerb on his cycle in Victoria Street yesterday, a. lad aged 12 named Rufus Rogers, son of Dr. E. T. Rogers, of Hamilton, was knocked over by a. lorry driven by a motor garage proprietor, Slan Blackmore. Tiie accident happened at a busy lime, when Ihe si reel was congested with motor traffic returning to town from the races, lilackmore turned his vehicle in towards Ihe kerb so as to swing around lo proceed in the opposite'direction. Beyers was caught by Ihe vehicle, his injuries consisting of internal injuries and severe bruises. He is doing as well as can be expected.
