CRICKET.
INTERNATIONAL MATCH. ENGLAND AND IRELAND DRAW. LONDON, October 25. The international Soccer match at Belfast between England and Ireland resulted in a draw —no score. The attendance was 35,000. The Irish forwards took part in many dashing rushes, but the English were sounder in defence.
Jn the second half play was more energetic. The Irish half-backs displayed line spoiling work. The English forwards lacked combination, but towards the end improved. A draw was a fair reflex of the game.
NEW ZEALAND TEAM. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, .Monday. Although it is proving most difficult for W. R. Patrick to get away with the New Zealand team to Australia on account of business interests, there is still a possibility that he may be able to make the trip. DUNEDIN, Monday.
Two members of the New Zealand team. Worker and Blamires, performed well to-day, each contributing a century before retiring in a match, Blamires"' team versus Milton, at Miltor lIUTT BEAT WAIRARAPA. WELLINGTON, Monday.
Hutt proved too strong for a Wairarapa eleven, defeating them by 124 runs, on the first innings.
