TORNADO IN ALABAMA.
MANY CASUALTIES
DOZENS OF HOUSES BAZED

NEW YORK, October 25
Devastating windstorms struck the Atlantic coast States, resulting in the death of at least 21 persons and heavy damage to homes and shipping. In Alabama the tornado, sweeping in from the Texas coast, killed 1C people, injured more than 'JU, and levelled dozens of houses.
In Woburn, Massachusetts, 500 houses were ' damaged. In Baltimore, 17 navy seaplanes which were assembled for manoeuvres in connneclion with (In 1 Schneider Cup races broke from (heir moorings. Seven of I hem were completely wrecked, and others were badly damaged.
