The following barometer and thermometer readings, taken from 9 a.m. daily, and weather conditions, are kindly supplied by Mr Jas. Brcmner: Barometer. Monday 30.0 Tuesday 29.80 Thermometer. Saturday .. 52 30 Monday 51 28 Barometer unsteady, with rising tendency .at 29.80.

Indications are for generally fair weather, with probably an occasional shower. Winds northerly, later by cast to south, when settled conditions may 1)0 expected. Yesterday was unsettled, 1.30 in. of rain falling' Winds mostly N-E. Mean temperature 50.5 degrees.

The Government Meteorologist reports:—The indications are for strong northerly winds to gale. Expect dull weather with much mist and log in parts.' Heavy rain is to be expected. Barometer falling.
