N.Z. FARMERS' UNION.
CONFERENCE AT MASTERTON. MASTERTON, Thursday. The Farmers' Union conference opened to-day, Mr A. Ross presiding. In his address Mr Ross referred lo the loss sustained by the Dominion by the death of Mr Massey, and expressed satisfaction at the appointment of Mr Coatcs as Premier. A resolution of sympathy with Mrs Massey, and placing on record the great, services Mr Massey rendered lo the Dominion, was passed.
