EVANS, HOOPER AND CO. Local industry should always be encouraged and supported, and it will be to the interests of the primary producers of New Zealand lo bear this fact in mind, and extend the same support to manufacturers of good farm implements. Messrs Evans, Hooper and Co., of Federal Street, Auckland, are manufacturers of lime and manure distributors and several different types of harrows, including lines, discs, chain and tripod. The principal feature of the exhibit is the lime and manure distributor. This lias been closely inspected by visiting farmers, and is creating a very favourable impression. The popular star-feed machine is made of the best materials and workmanship. It is the lightest draught of any machine of its size, and the long axle running right Ihrough the hopper is of l!in. cold rolled steel.- thereby preventing any possibility of sagging. Another special feature is the driving shafts, which gives extra strength to the driving pinions. The Evans Ilalf-triporl and Halfehain harrows are also v,ery useful implements, Ihey are made in various widths, and are complete with drag weights and draw bar.
