WEMBLEY EXHIBITION.
STRIKE THREATENED. NON-UNIONISTS EMPLOYED. (Reutli. / LONDON, April 8. A strike over the employment of non-unionists at reduced rates ol wages by contractors engaged by private exhibitors threatens to interfere with the work of opening the Wembley Exhibition. Following meetings 3f workers at the Exhibition yesterday, a committee representing all the trades unions concerned sent a letter to the Exhibition authorities demanding the employment of unionists and the payment at recognised rates of wages, plus an allowance of Gs travelling expenses, otherwise a strike would occur on April 14.
