HAUNTED BY DREAMS.

EX-WARDER'S SUICIDE. (Australian and N.Z CsblH Assn.) LONDON, September 18. . Charles Lazell, an octogenarian, who was formerly chief warder at Wandsworth Gaol, had lately been haunted by dreams of the executions he had witnessed. As a result he committed suicide at Ash ford, Middlesex, in a manner resembling a scaffold scene. The old man attached a rope to the roof of a shed near his house, mounted some steps, tied a noose around bis neck, and jumped through an open trap-door.
