NEW PLYMOUTH, Thursday. The police received advice this evening that a youth, Duncan Hepburn, 19 years of age, was drowned while fording the Awakino River this morning. The body has not been recovered. TAURANGA, Thursday. An employe of the Public Workß Department, Mr H. Sorrensen, was caught between two while working at Matapiha. He was much bruised and was removed to his home in Tauranga. Wltile endeavouring to catch a horse a lad named Russell Poole was kicked by the animal on the forehead and received injuries which necessitated his removal to a private hospital.
