Yesterday was generally fair, with light rain amounting to 0.02 in. Winds were north-easl. Mean temperature D 2.5 degrees.

The Weather Bureau wires:—Trio indications are for variable to strong southerly breezes, strong to gale at times. The weather appears likely to be cloudy and unsettled and will probably become colder. The barometer has a rising tendency.
