SHARP TREMORS AT TAURANQA. RESEMBLANCE TO TAUPO SERIES. By Telegraph—Press Association. TAURANGA, Monday. Two slight shocks of earthquake Were experienced here this morning. Colonel Ward, who has a recording instrument, reports that the first tremor occurred at 4.29, and a much more definite series of oscillations three minutes later, showed movements along a line joining Wanganui and Tauranga, The indications were almost as strong and almost as forcible as the Taupo series of two years ago. The general direction of the tremors leads to a suspicion of its origin being in the same neighbourhood.
