ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.

By Telegraph—Press Association. NAPIER, Saturday. Robert Walker, who was run over by a truck on the East Coast railway works yesterday, died to-day. Deceased was only twenty-two years old, and was married on Boxing Day. WHANGAREI, Saturday.

A collision occurred to-day between a motor car, owned by Mr Albert Roadley, of Batley, and a gig driven by a young lad, resulting in Mrs James Martin, of Whau Valley, an aged lady, sustaining a fracture of the left leg. A railway engine caused the horse to shy off to the right, and the slowlymoving car was struck on the front mudguard.' Mr Roadley was thrown out and fell heavily. He was removed to the hospital.
