Mr Cyril Towsey, of Auckland, who has been spending a holiday at Raglan, returned to the city to-day. Mr Humphrey Bishop, theatrical manager, is staying at the Hamilton Hotel.

McLean, rector of Christ Church, Lavender Bay, and formerly of New Zealand. Mr Karl von Sturmer, formerly of the Hamilton staff of the Bank of New Zealand, and now of the Auckland office, who has been spending his holidays in Hamilton, returns to the city on Wednesday. ,

To have obtained his L.L.B. degree before attaining the age of 21, is an unusual distinction, but such has been the achievement of W. G. Clavls, son ■of Mr W. A. Clavis, of Ngaruawahia, who is at present employed as a clerk in the office of Messrs Swarbrick and Swarbrick, solicitors, of • Hamilton. Young Mr Clavis is a Hamilton High School boy, and has been particularly successful in his law examinations, having, according to the University retsults, published on Saturday, passed right through, his latest subjects beI ing Conflict of Laws and International • Law. He is also the holder of a 1 junior and senior scholarship, gained f whilst a pupil of the Hamilton High School.
