Re-enacting the story of William Toll, John Rowe, a Beaufort (N.S.W.) schoolboy, placed an apple on the head of his mate, Theodore Schlicht. Standing at 20 paces distance, ho fired an arrow from his toy bow. The arrow struck Schlicht on the eye, cut the lid, and severely bruised the eyeball.
