The Times is authorised to emphatically deny a report emanating from Rerlin, alleging that shortly before the electron France and Britain concluded an agreement by which, inter alia, Britain agreed to participate in the control of the Ruhr, and France renounced her intention of annexing the Rhineland and to reduce German reparations to £1,000,000,000. The Times adds: "The alleged agreement exists only in the imagination of anonymous authors."

COMMISSION'S LIABILITIES PARIS, December 12. The Matm states the reparations commissioner will be unable to carry on at the present nate of expenditure beyond January. It, is pro-posted to reduce the staff by 70 per cent to enable it to continue for two or three months. The liabilities include the payment of 15,000,000 francs for the lease of the Hotel Astoria.
