JUDGE REBUKES PETITIONER
"Why did your wife leave you," asked His Honor. Mr Justice Herdman, of a petitioner, in a divorce action before the Supreme Court, Hamilton, to-day, named Herbert. Gordon Bloomfield, farmer, of Morrinsvillc. Petitioner: Urn? His Honor: Why did she leave you? "Because she was going about with other blokes," answered petitioner. His Honor: But did she leave you or you her'.' Petitioner: Urn"? His Honor repealed the question. Petitioner: Oh, we mutually agreed lo separate. Petitioner added that they were married in June, 101 i, and parted in December of the same year. They had not lived together since, but, his wife had a child to another man in 1017. His Honor: You could have proceeded on the grounds of adultery. Have you allowed your wife any maintenance since you parted? Petitioner: Urn? His Honor: Don't say urn! Petitioner: No. A decree nisi was granted.
