ROYALIST ACTIVITY.
MANY ARRESTS EFFECTED

It is officially rumoured that file discovery of a fresh Royalist revo'lul ionady plot lias resulted in many arrests, including retired officers. ATHENS, December 9.
The authorities for some days have suspected that a new plot to overthrow the Government was being hatched. They had noticed t hat Col. Mctaxas was very active in military circles, and ascertained that he hoped to win over the other garrisons in an effort to overthrow the revolutionary Cabinet, create internal troubles, and bring about foreign intervention. The conspirators were provided with ample funds, which were used for propaganda. The movement seems to have been nipped in the bud. It is stated that compromising documents and large sums were found in the possession of those arrested. A severe enquiry is proceeding.
