School Picnic.
A meeting of householders to makf arrangements for the annual school picnic was held in the hall on Tuesday evening. Mr Geo. Gibbs presided ana there were also present, Mrs Gibbs, and Messrs Belsie, Bluett, McLeod, Stark, Spencer and Winter, also Mr Kelly, the headmaster. The same committees as last year were again asked to act, and Mr Winter agreed to act as secretary'. It was suggested that the picnic this year should be held between Boxing Day and the 28th December, but a further meeting was arranged for the 3rd December when the day will be finally settled. Alt Kelly and Miss Beil hope to be at the picnic and they have been asked tc get the prize books for presentation to the children. Proficiency Examination, Air Kelly has been again successful in that the three scholars presented, viz., Maida Farrant, Ivy McLeod anc K. Mellows have all passed their proficiency examination. The Factory. Electric light has now been installer in the factory and is being found ; great convenience for the work of the night shift. The Pastures. The last rains have been most welcome and have had a splendid clfecl cn the grass, and good hay crops ar\ now assured.
