RETURN OF THE TURK.
CROSSING THE BOSPHORUS. REPUBLIC DECIDED UPON. Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn. LONDON, October,s. The Exchange Telegraph Agency's Constantinople correspondent states that a majority party at a six hours' sitting, under the presidency of Mustapha Kcmal, decided unanimously that the name of the Turkish State is the Turkish Republic, with Angora as its capital. The Morning Post says that the first units of Turkish troops, which will make a triumphal 'entry on Saturday, have arrived at the outskirts of the'city, the route being feverishly decorated with flags and triumphal arches.
Several gunboats, partly reconditioned, will salute Ihe troops when they embark for the European shore. Festivities began on Friday with a regatta. The former Goebcn, now Vavouz, has been repainted and stationed near the regatta course. The commander of the troops will receive a separate welcome on arriving at Stamboul on Saturday morning h'.'fon. the troops begin to cross the Bospiiorus.
