SECOND EDITION.
The following barometer and thermometer readings, taken from 9 ajndaily, and weather conditions, are kindly supplied by Mr James Bremner:
Barometer. Friday 29.90 Saturday 29.50 Yesterday was generally fair, 0.89 points of rain falling during the night. Winds were northerly. Mean temperature GO degrees. Barometer low and unsteady at 29.50.
Indications are that unsettled weather will continue for 48 hours, with winds becoming brisk to high, and backing from N. to W., later from W. and S.W. and clearing.
The Weather Bureau wires:—The indications are for variable and strong breezes, but south-easterly strong winds to gale prevailing. Weather cloudy to overcast. Heavy rain is to be expected with rivers flooded. The night will probably be very cold. Barometer rising soon.
