LONDON WOOL BALE, Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., are in receipt of the following cable from their London office, under, date 28th ultimo:— Wool.—Sales closed active and competition brisk, especially for crossbred. ' As compared with last sales' closing rates, merino wool, greasy.ld to ijd higher; scoured unchanged; halfbred wools, greasy id to 2d high- *t er; fine quality greasy crossbred, id j& higher; medium and coarse, par to id higher; Ane quality scoured crossbred, par to id higher; medium and coarse unchanged; slipe wools, par to id higher; medium and coarse, change if any is in buyers'. favour; short pieces, bellies, and locks, very good demand. Belgian and French buyers are principal operators for merinos. English buyers are buying medium and coarse quality crossbred wools freely. 153,000 bales and 70,000 B.A.W.R.A. catalogued; 192,000 bales sold, including 12,000 South American; 95,000 to the Continent, 1000 to America,- 96,000 for Home trade; carried forward; -37,000 of which 20,500 were not offered. .
