PREMIER'S CLOTHES.
The appearance of Mr 3aldwin, the Prime Minister, in a blue lounge suit, a primrose-coloured waistcoat, and a "rather shabby" grey soft felt hat at the Eton v. Harrow cricket match which ended at Lord's, has ruffled the Tailor and Cutter. In this show (it says) where almost every man was a fine flower of fashion, there was, alasl a sartorial weed; it was the Prime Minister. He has a top-hat and morning-coat; but these were left at home. He wore a blue lounge suit. The jacket buttoned three, and had an outride ticket pocket with flap. His waistcoat wa3 primrose coloured, and his gloves (too large and not properly put on) were of the same hue. His shirt was striped with blue and the tie was dark blue—the latter a little awry. Lastly, the hat was a grey soft felt with black land and rather shabby. They (his clothes) had neither smartness nor distinction, but were merely humdrum. Mr Baldwin, an old Harrovian, by defying convention in this way at least raises anew the question of how much is good taste and how much conveylion in dress at an Eton v. Harrow .gathering.
