MODEL YACHTING.
HAMILTON CLUB. The annual meeting of the Hamilton Model Yacht Club showed this sport to be progressing satisfactorily, and the future of the club promises great things for model enthusiasts. The election of officers for the ensuing season resulted: Patron, Mr J. A. "Voung; president, Mr E. 11. Northcroft; vice-presidents, Messrs J. R. Fow, R. C. Fowler, J. Vickers and E. Gcrrish; commodore, Mr H. Martin; vice-com-modore, Mr J. Treloar; rear-commo-dore, Mr H. Blackie; secretary and treasurer, Mr R. Prycc; timekeeper, Mr Behague; judge_ and umpire, Mr Barton; handicapper, Mr W. T. Matthews; committee, Messrs Morrison, Taylor, Bone, Matthews, Behague, and the officers. Several remits from the committee were dealt with, and the following were carried: (1) That the 2ft class be exclusively for boys; (2) that the limit of beam in all classes be 4 x 2 inches for the length of hull.
A plan was exhibited by the commodore of the proposed boat-shed for storing of boats. The play was very favourably commented upon. It was ■moved that the secretary send application for the proposal, and if granted the club will do all in its power to have a building erected as soon as possible. Messrs Treloar and Matthews were instructed to interview Mr Penniket with regard to final arrangements in reference to his special race for standardised boats.
