Won by a length, half a length between second and third. Time 1.4. ' Spring Handicap.—Bonelter (8.11) 1, Patuka (7.11) 2, Crown Star (7.3) 3. Scratched: Kilbird. Won by 2i lengths, third horse a head away. Time 2.7. Glenaray Handicap.—Kilbird (9.6) 1, Bagdad (5.6) 2, Birkenella (8.2) 3. Scratched: Megan. Won by a neck, six lengths between second and third. Time 1.55 1-5.
Flaxmcrc Handicap.—All Marimba (8.12) I,' Startle (8.6) 2, Mountain Peer (8.4) 3. Also started: Communicate, Treadwell, The Author, Velvet King, Semplice. Won by a head, a length separating second and third. Time 1.15 1-5.
Flying Handicap—Valley Rose (6.9) 1, Civilform (9.0) 2, Tatau Tatau (8.11) 3. Also started: Mariian Miss, Megan, Mosthcnes. Won by a length, a head separating second and third.
The lotalisal.or investments amounted to £17,975, which represents an increase of £1842, compaacd with the sum handled last year.
RIVOLI WINS CRAVEN PLATE.
SYDNEY, October 3.
The Australian Jockey Club's Meeting was continued at Handwiok to-day in fine weather, and the attendance was estimated at 40,000. Th,c Craven Plate winner turned up in Rivoli, who will be best remembered for his surprise victory in the A.J.C. Derby of 1922. Results:—
Hurdle Race, of 3 fur.—Clan Robert 1, Lcs Paddington 2, Gindi 3. Won by four lengths. Time, 4m 225.
The Craven -Plate, of 1| miles.— Rivoli (9.0) 1, Harvest King (9.4) 2, The Epicure (9.1) 3. Also started: Purser, Fred Power, Sir Andrew, King Carnival. Won by two lengths. Time, 2m 425. Suburbs Handicap, of 1 mile.—Note 1, Sir Mailland 2, All Wheat 3. Ten started. Won by two lengths. Time, lm 38s. Loyal Irish was included among the starters. Members' Handicap, or 11 miles.— Roy Francis 1, Duet 2, Collaroi 3. Fourteen started. Won by half a neck. Titno, 2in 7 is. Tlie Gimcrack Stakes, of 5 fur.— Perriwoo 1, K.T.A. 2, Secant 3.
