The following barometer and thermometer readings, taken from 9 a.m. daily, and weathsr conditions, are kindly supplied by Mr James Bremner: Thermometer. Wednesday .. 72 40 Barometer. Thursday 29.90 Barometer unsteady at 29.90. Indications are for generally fair weather during the next 48 hours, with probably an occasional shower. Winds from N.E. to N.W. Yesterday was generally fair, rain falling during the night amounting- to 0.10 inch. Winds were east by north. Mean temperature 5G degrees. The Weather Bureau wires:—The indications are for northerly winds strong at limes and backing by west to south. Expect dull weather with much mist and fog in parts. Heavy rain is to be expected. The barometer has a falling tendency but rising shortly when the weather will probably become colder.
