CRICKET.
THE FRANKTON CLUB. The annal meeting of the Frankton Cricket Club was held at Messrs Hawke and Pearson’s offices, Ward Street. There was a full attendance of members.
The balance-sheet covering last season’s operations showed that the finances of the club were in a satisfactory condition. The prospects for the coming season are very bright indeed, and the club will be able to place strong elevens in the field for both grades. The election of officers resulted as follows: —Patron, Mr Fraser Smith; president, Mr J. E. Herbert; vicepresidents, Dr. Pinfold, Messrs Adams, Dimmock, Goodall, Herbert G. Lewis, and Webb; committee, Messrs Armstrong, Hawke, Leutfer, Rabone and Fox; delegates to association, Messrs Armstrong and Rabone; club captain, Mr E. Carter; secretary and treasurer, Mr A. V. Fox. Several new members were duly registered by the club, and it was decided to hold tlie first club practice on Saturday next on No. 4 wicket, Sed‘don Park, when all members arc requested to attend.
