A thousand pilgrims to British graves in France, when returning lo England, held a massed service al the quayside at Boulogne. The youngest of them was 11 years of age, and many were over 70. Some had gathered a strong impression of what the last resting-place of iheir relatives was like from such names as Kl at Iron Top, Sunken Road,l and Crucifix Corner. When they saw Iho beautifully laid--out cemeteries they realised how well (heir beloved are cared for. Many broke down and wept as they left Boulogne.

The mothers assembled on Iho deck sang "Abide with Me."
