CONQUEST OF STERILITY.
AMAZING CLAIMS. NEW YORK, Sept. 26. A sterile woman need no longer be childless, according to announcement by the University of California Anatomy Department, which states that after 20 years’ research the germ of reproduction has been found. The required * substance has been named “ Vitamine letter X.” This is obtained by treating wheat with ether and oil. The result contains the vital element. Experimenting with white female rats with small quantities of oil changed them from sterility to fertility. Certain kinds of food also furnish this oil, including egg yolks and the meat overlying the jawbone.
