ITALO-SERVIAN DISPUTE.
DESIRE TO INVOLVE GREECE,
Received September 15. 10.30 a.m. LONDON, September 14. The Times' Athens correspondent says that Italy is doing her utmost to link the Greek and Serbian disputes. It is the opinion of Greek official ciicles that in the event of an ItaloServian rupture, Greece would probably be compelled to remain neutral, though she may prevent Bulgaria from knifing Servia in the back. The Greeks will presumably concentrate on the Macedonian frontier to keep the Bulgarians, and also the Turks quiet. Greece has tactfully promised such assistance. Members of the Greek Cabinet believe that they have penetrated Mussolini's design to make Greece a party to the Italo-Servian conflict, and realise Italian ambitions at Greece's expense.
The Times' Vienna correspondent says that not wishing to be caught napping by a sudden Italian' attack the Jugo-Slavians have dug a first line of trenches on the frontier. The correspondent also quotes a report that military transports have entered Quarnero.
