BUTTER AND CHEESE.
LATEST LONDON ADVICES. Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn. LONDON, September 7. The butter market is very firm and there is a good demand. New Zealand choicest is very scarce, and is quoted at 184 s. Secondaries arc quoted at 156 s to 170 s, and Danish at 198 s. The cheese market is firm, and New Zealand is quoted at 1225. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., advise having received the following cabled advice from their head office, London, under date September 6:—
Butter.—Market firm, but quiet. We quote: New Zealand, salted, 190 s; g.a.q. Australian, 1725; Danish, 1945; finest Australian, salted and unsalted, 182 s.
Cheese.—-Market steady but quiet. New Zealand, white and coloured, 1225.
