OHAUPO TOWN BOARD.
MONTHLY MEETING.
M a meeting of the Ohaupo Town Board held on Friday last, there were present Messrs E. J. Edwards (chairiman), A. Turnwald, A. Karl, N. J. iPinlay, and W. West. Mr S. J. Nobes was granted leave of ,istbsence through sickness. Mr Andrew Karl gave notice of moition to move at the next meeting that 'a general rate of Id in £ be struck for the year 1923-24. The chairman reported, together with members of the board, having inspected and conferred with the contractor for the' hall regarding a concrete floor in the supper-room. After a lengthy discussion on the cost, etc., it was decided on Mr Karl's motion that the work be done locally under the supervision of a resident who had Offered his services'.
The Medical Officer of Health again requested a definite answer on the regulations for eating-houses.—The clerk to reply accordingly. The Public Trustee asked for various particulars regarding the hall loan and staking fund, for the purpose of placing the information before the 'department for acceptance.—The action of the clerk in replying by return was approved. The auditor asked for details regarding rates, etc., to which the clerk was instructed to attend. ■ Accounts amounting to £265 6s lOd were passed for payment.
